  Responsible to the availability and security of an online transaction system serving the National Association of Realtors including network design, firewalls, IDS, vulnerability assessment and patch management.

   Responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of information security systems utilizing Cisco IOS and Pix, ISS security suite, HP Openview, Private I syslog analysis, MRTG, proprietary and open-source systems as required for special projects and client requirements.  Liaison to IT Steering Committee on Acceptable Use, Email and general security policies.  Consultant to project managers for contract security requirements, implementation and auditing.

   Participated security and infrastructure requirements of proposals, worked with clients and suppliers on security assurance and interoperability issues. Responsible for enterprise vulnerability testing, managed infrastructure group and consulted with application penetration testing group. 

Implemented TCP/IP management systems, DHCP, DNS and mail filtering bastion hosts systems on sendmail.

      Designed and implemented Storage Area Network for Netware, Windows and HP-UX servers. Supported the Unix (HP-UX and Linux), Netware and MS teams to recommend and evaluate security practices. Worked with vertical-market software suppliers on integrating their products into our security environment. Provided training, mentoring and problem resolution to Infrastructure group, Help Desk and software development groups.  Designed and supported secure communications methods for up to 1500 laptops used by field interviewers and roaming staff.

  

   Designed and maintained LAN, WAN and remote office VPNs on redundant dedicated and public links utilizing Cisco IOS and BGP over T1, Frame relay and DWDM fiber connections. Worked with contractors to design data center build-outs including electrical, HVAC, UPS, cable plant, fire suppression, remote monitoring and physical security issues.
